In the middle of Mitte.

Your temporary home.

Around NG19. Your inspiring homebase. You can look forward to this. A tour with Anna.

Anna is a project manager in an advertising agency. She moved here from Munich and has been living here with her family for a while now. She knows the neighbourhood around Neue Grünstraße like the back of her hand and has lots of tips for you as a newbie. She will gladly tell you how to find everything you need from NG19. And what makes the location special for her.

The neighbourhood around Spittelmarkt and Fischerinsel is located in Berlin’s Mitte district, on the border with the somewhat hipper Kreuzberg district. Super central and yet not in the middle of the tourist hustle and bustle. Anna thinks it couldn’t be better. The famous shopping mile Friedrichstraße is very close by. And so is the Gendarmenmarkt. Beyond that, there is much to discover: small cafés, bars and excellent restaurants of all kinds and for every budget. Alternative fashion and design stores, plus plenty of young and established galleries and lesser-known museums. And last but not least: lots of green space to relax – often right on the water. But first, let’s arrive.

From quick snacks to fine dining.

Anna is a foodie – and Berlin is a paradise in this respect. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, a relaxed cold brew, a matcha latte or simply a good coffee – or you want to enjoy a sophisticated diner. And maybe a cocktail in the bar afterwards? Anna has plenty of favourite places within walking distance: from the small Italian bakery to the brasserie for meeting friends to the award-winning “outlaw” Nobelhart & Schmutzig. A vegan star restaurant and an exciting zero waste concept are also within easy reach.

A very special tip is Markthalle Neun. An almost legendary place for foodies: Here you can find excellent food from small producers. Every Thursday, the market hall is the venue for “Street Food Thursdays” and once a year, the “Raw Wine Fair”, the oldest and most important international fair for natural wines, is held here. Our recommendation…

Leisure, sport and relaxation. Did you know that Berlin has so many green spaces?

For Anna, the best thing about Berlin is the high density of parks and urban greenery. Go for a run in the morning or simply switch off. Many beautiful places are right on the water. In combination with specialised studios and / or crossfit training that goes to the limit, you won’t miss anything. Or would you prefer a cosmetic treatment?

BECYCLE. Highly recommended.

A holistic approach to fitness with high-energy cardio classes and gentle alignment and breathing. Spinning. Barre. Pilates. Yoga. HIIT. A beautiful vegetarian café and selected sportswear, beauty and nutrition products complete the experience. Our cooperation partner. Benefit from special rates.

Art, culture and nightlife. What are you in Berlin for?!

The really famous Berlin clubs are more likely to be found in other parts of the city. On the other hand, Neue Grünstraße is not overcrowded with party people around the clock. Of course, that can get on your nerves sometimes… But there are some exciting and unusual locations in the neighbourhood. For every occasion. For every mood. And in any weather. Galleries. Clubs. Museums. Exhibitions. Whatever your heart desires.

Fashion and design.

Berlin is a fashion metropolis. Young boutiques and concept stores can now be found all over the city. A small epicentre is along Oranienstrasse, north of Kottbusser Tor. But Potsdamer Strasse and Auguststrasse also have a lot to offer. You’ll even stand out in London, Tel Aviv and definitely in Munich…
